Description

The relief appears as an ancient artwork, because it represents a female head crowned with ivy leaves, such as the figure of an ancient bacchante. Nevertheless, scholars recently established that this is a Renaissance work inspired by classical schemes derived from roman sarcophagi or others ancient monuments.
