The paleobotany section consists of more than 5000 specimens. The most important remains come from sites in the Veneto region, like the Jurassic flora from the Oolitic member of the Calcari Grigi, and the wonderful Cenozoic palms trees.

The fossil invertebrates collection consists of more than 50,000 specimens, among them are especially remarkable the fossil remains from Veneto, Friuli Venezia giulia and Trentino Alto Adige region. The collection is extremely important for didactic and research and it testifies the evolution of the life and of the paleogeography.

The fossil vertebrates collection consists of about 5000 specimens, including especially remarkable remains from Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia and Trentino Alto Adige region. All the fossils are very interesting and show the changes in climate and geography occurred during the deep time.
